Refund and Returns

At Nova Move, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This Refund and Returns Policy outlines your rights and our procedures in accordance with the consumer protection laws of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (CPA).

By placing an order with Nova Move, you agree to the terms set out below.

1. Change of Mind Returns

If you change your mind about your purchase, you may request a return within 7 days of receiving your order, provided that:

  • The item is unused and in its original condition;

  • The item is returned with all accessories, manuals, and components;

  • The product is in its original packaging where reasonably possible;

  • You provide proof of purchase.

Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping for change-of-mind returns unless otherwise agreed.

Once the returned item has been inspected and approved, a refund will be processed to the original payment method.

Please note that delivery fees are non-refundable unless required by law.

2. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Products

If you receive a product that is defective, damaged, or different from what you ordered, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

You may be asked to provide:

  • Your order number;

  • Proof of purchase;

  • A description of the issue;

  • Photographs of the product and packaging.

In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, you may be entitled to a:

  • Repair;

  • Replacement; or

  • Full refund.

Nova Move will cover all reasonable collection or return shipping costs for approved claims involving faulty, damaged, or incorrectly supplied products.

3. Consumer Rights Under South African

Law

Under Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act, consumers are entitled to an implied warranty of quality for a period of six months from the date of delivery.

If a product fails to meet the standards required by law within this period, you may return it for repair, replacement, or a refund, subject to the provisions of the Act.

These rights apply in addition to any manufacturer's warranty offered with the product.

4. Non-Returnable Items

Returns and refunds may not be accepted for:

  • Products damaged due to misuse, abuse, neglect, or improper installation;

  • Items that have been altered or modified without authorization;

  • Products showing excessive wear and tear;

  • Custom-made or personalized products unless defective;

  • Commercial-use products where sold for residential use only.

Nothing in this section limits your rights under applicable consumer protection laws.

5. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 7 to 14 business days after the returned product has been received and inspected.

Refunds will be issued using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take additional time for the funds to appear in your account.

6. Exchanges

If you would like to exchange a product for a different model or variation, please contact us to discuss available options.

Additional charges may apply if the replacement item has a higher purchase price.
